UC Berkeley platforms Terror Supporting & Rape Deniers, Weaponizing Feminism Against America & The West
Anti-American, political indoctrination must be stopped
If you’ve been following social justice movements recently, you may have noticed an unsettling trend: the "Free Palestine" movement, while focused on Palestinian justice, has increasingly co-opted virtually every cause—including feminism and LGBTQ+ rights. This shift doesn’t just promote Palestinian liberation; it redefines feminism and queer activism to serve a broader anti-imperialist, anti-colonial, and anti-American agenda. In doing so, these movements—historically centered on equality and human rights—are being weaponized to demonize Israel, the U.S., and Western ideals.
We can look at the upcoming lecture at UC Berkeley, where Walaa Alqaisiya, Nadine Naber, and Nada Elia will be speaking. In their lectures, they deny the atrocities and sexual violence committed by Hamas on October 7th and paint a narrative in which Zionism is accused of "weaponizing" feminism. However, in reality, it is these figures who have hijacked the feminist movement, using it as a tool to advance their broader anti-American and anti-West agenda, disguised in the “Free Palestine” movement.
“This talk will look at how Zionism has weaponized feminism, so as to serve Israel's genocidal intent, by upholding debunked accusations of systematic Hamas mass assault...” - Abstract from lecture at UC Berkeley
Figures like Walaa Alqaisiya, Nadine Naber, and Nada Elia, frame feminism and LGBTQ+ rights as tools of imperialism. They’ve turned these causes into vehicles for their larger political agenda: the dismantling of the so-called imperialist structures. In doing so, they’ve hijacked causes that have long stood for universal human rights.
This weaponization of feminist and queer rhetoric isn’t just a fringe argument; it’s meant to shape the discourse within broader leftist circles. The result is a radical view, where solidarity with Palestine is expected to trump other values—like gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights.
It’s clear that the "Free Palestine" movement has grown into something more than just a call for justice for Palestinians. By weaponizing feminism and LGBTQ+ rights, it has begun to create an environment where progress for some is sacrificed for the sake of radical ideologies. This is a dangerous path that ultimately harms the people these movements are supposed to protect.
Not only have figures like Walaa Alqaisiya, Nadine Naber, and Nada Elia weaponized feminism and LGBTQ+ causes to demonize Israel and advance a broader anti-American, anti-Western agenda, but they also express heavy support for terrorist organizations. Alqaisiya, for example, has openly glorified Hamas leader Yehya Sinwar online, despite the group's history of violent attacks against civilians. This admiration for terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, The Houthis and support for the Islamic Republic of Iran as a political tool further highlights how these activists, under the guise of supporting “Palestinian liberation”, are endorsing violence, extremism and anti-western rethorics. Their rhetoric, which calls for the destruction of Israel and, in most cases, the U.S., and Western Societies, reveals the dangerous intersection of radical ideology with the co-opted causes of feminism and queer rights—ideals that have been hijacked.
